Putting new roof on o.b racing loft. Week off work middle of October so hope to get it dry.

I will be changing the in side of my 8x12 loft into 3 sections. keeping 12 widowhood cock

Hoping to having 24 young birds, for the 2010 season.

Have already changed the front and roof of my main loft , starting to do the inside tomorrow  . Alan when finished you will have to come down for a look

I will be getting my old bird loft ready for widowhood or roundabout and decide what to pair to what. Paint the lofts inside and out and hopefully get all the holes in the loft filled from the rats. Going to sheet the inside of the loft with a broken glass wall cavity between inside and out and glass wool. Put some smoked plastic sheeting on the roof and enjoy my doos. Thats after my week in Portugal  8) 8)

iwill pull out my old nest boxes and put some new ones with up and over fronts on,the partridge, duck and snipe are now in season,and the fezzies start  at the end of the month, the foxhounds have already started cubbing(thats where ive been this morning)and then if i have any time left i will do some work, and plan for nxt year.

I AM PUTTING NEW QUAD BOXES IN BOTH LOFTS BOXES ARRIVING MONDAY               WONT MAKE BIRDS FLY FASTER BUT IT WILL LOOK GOOD I HOPE ANYONE TRIED QUAD BOXES AND WHAT THEY THOUGHT OF THEM ?????

Painting the outside of the loft and, as soon as they've finished moulting, dig out the Easybed and renew it. I love the smell and look when it first goes down, shame it doesnt last long!! :
