It will be interesting how much this bird makes i think it will be in the bottom 5 priced birds as it is a cross. What do you think ?????

i think that i have very little money but if you want to swap for a kidney please feel free to come around with the bird [and a scapel ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D] i do not think that a bird been a cross would matter if it was good

is there really a pedigree pigeon about?

they have been crossed with other strains in many years gone by.

even if now kept with its own strain it started off as cross somewhere down the line. :)

only two types of pigeons good or bad and from my experiance i always find that a first out cross if successfull can breed some very good birds ;) the fanciers on the continent buy good birds they never buy strains thats why there the strain makers they keep the hybrid vigour by constantly out crossing and improving there birds ;)

John there is no reason at all not to buy a so called cross, my reasons being as follows

1. it will add hybrid vigour to your birds

2. there is no such thing as a pure bred

3.its carrying the genes of winners

4.if the bird fits in with my ideas of conformation type and its parents ancestors have performed at the distance i want then its a no brainer i would buy it

too much emphasis on bits of paper instead of looking at the bigger picture

my best ever channel pigeon was a busschaert x stragg say no more

my opinion is john with most knowing your results will be astute enough to know that it has been bred from by you and if its good enough for you then someones going to get a good bird......and i think you will be proved wrong id say in top 5 price wise........and if good enough then who cares about its pedigree coz they dont fly....... ;)
