well my 14 went last week and i took 1st in the first race 10th fed(thats a good result being where i am position in all that wind) and last week i reckon i took 4th but wont know till tonight my big team is down to 12 now so after this weekend i will just pick and choose my race's and prolly race 4-5 birds a week.

the prob i have is thatv my birds are falling aprt, all starting to moult round the face and some with only 3 flights left to drop, i am not due to start racing the second round for another 3 weeks and am starting to panic as they may be to far gone in the moult

It just gets worse. Yesterday we sent took our 70 YBs to Salisbury for a 40 mile toss. All had been to 20 miles about four times and some had successfully completed their first races last weekend. Released at 10-45 into sunny skies with just the odd shower around, the first one didn't return for three hours and we knew we were in trouble. During the afternoon and evening we had another 26 - all singly - and so far only another 5 have returned today. Most of them had so many hours on the wing that racing them this weekend is out of the question. Really makes you wonder why we bother !
