Guest strapper Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 nice to have a training toss and not hear or witness any hawk attacks. they cleared within less than a minute...not bad for 2nd toss and 10mls ,all arrived home...50 odd . im gonna push them along a bit now and hopefully have them all in the comebacks...i hate youngbird racing...wait there..i hate everything about youngbirds ;D

Guest Hjaltland Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Yup, its a relief to see them all back. Young bird racing is certainly very trying considering BOP, yb sickness, fuel costs, moult.. but it's also interesting and rewarding to see them develop in character and in body. Mine have been to both ends the island, 25 - 35 miles in each direction, all coming well. Best of luck

My wife the same mate, would not be able to have pigeons if it were not for her, 4 years a go when i started up she would not go near them, Thought they were going to attack her when out flying!!! :-) now she cleans out, feeds and waters them in the morning, lets them out, occasionally will pick a baby up, but shes getting there, :-) She got to learn, as her and my son are racing against me next year :-)
Tony C Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 ...i hate youngbird racing...wait there..i hate everything about youngbirds ;D Nothing would make me happier if they come out of the eggs as yearlings.
cemetary Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Good to hear Paul, instead of reading about people getting hit with BOP.
