One way is to place a board directly under the the sputnik which comes out 2'-3' further. Open the sputnik up to allow them to venture outside on this board, they'll soon learn that is the way in and out.

thats what i do,  let them out when they start to perch

ive found i hardly ever lose them off the loft that way

does it really matter if you lose some off the top of the loft.  its only a matter of time before you loose them anyway  ;) :X

 

But you still have to make sure they no where to come in Stevie,  :P
