The more y/birds you breed the more chances you have of breeding a good one but I would agree with ROCKYandRAMBO aswell.

Time is a big factor aswell, Dont make it a chore for yourself, as it will get to you then

i judge how many by length of the back of the shed and times it by 3 , so 10 foot for 30 birds (but fit 40-50 perchs), if you have more ybs then you will need more air flow
