2 year old the way i look at it 1 year old is yearling before that yb

it is an old bird on the 1st of january the very next year after birth (still classed as a yearling ) but it is an old bird and can race or show in any old bird race or show.

well mate do the yearlings race in old bird races ? if the answer is yes then its an old bird .

surely a yearling is an old bird as its raced as an old bird under OB rules

no probs ya bass,a  ye hid me goin there .  not long before the big OFF . for old birds that is or is it yearlings  ;D ;D ;D

In general terms there are two 'classifications' for pigeons...Young birds and Old birds. As posted by Hotrod, from 1st January following it's year of birth it's an old bird. In this year following it's birth it is raced or shown as an Old bird, unless there are special classes in shows or special prizes in racing purely for year old pigeons...Yearlings.
