billy wilson Posted May 11, 2008 Report Posted May 11, 2008 we won yesturday but 10 minutes behind the fed winner but still pleased a lot of crack fliers never timed in yesturday, must say the birds were very dehydrated, the heat got to a lot of the birds yesturday, heard there was quite a few birds had to be thrown out of the baskets after liberation. billy
REDCHEQHEN Posted May 11, 2008 Author Report Posted May 11, 2008 Any word who won the big one? The word is its the UNC topper - M/M Baxter but don't know if that is true
Guest Paulo Posted May 12, 2008 Report Posted May 12, 2008 I had a good race for a novice sent 12 yearlings and got 11 back. Timed on at 1.40 and the winner in the club was on at 1.25. The guy on our allotments is top man in the club and he sent 30 and timed on at 1.35 and just had the one bird back before me when my bird came. Beat the other two guys on the allotments one of which is a former queens cup winner and knows a thing or two about racing at those distances by 30 minutes so well happy.
Guest j.bamling Posted May 12, 2008 Report Posted May 12, 2008 we timed at 1.07 got 1 missing it seems to have been a queer race all the same
