Scenario; you get your ets set 2night for 2moro,s race, and the birds go, poor weather conditions result in a holdover, and birds are not liberated till the Sunday, remembering when marking the date set was for a Saturday race, when taking the clocks off on the Sunday night, do you have to do anything, to ensure the clock knows the liberation was a day later? the reason I ask, is because I have heard that if no action is taken, then the systems assumes a Saturday liberation, and this results in a false velocity. Any advice would be helpful, thank you ;)

You only clock when he bird arrived--not released.  The club Sec. enteres the release info . The club Computer has your distance  and other info already in it.

The date of original liberation is set prior to basketing birds, and this info I believe is stored in order to work out the result and velocities :-/ as I said a couple of local clubs have told me, they experienced problems when the actual date of liberation was different from the proposed date :-/

We use Unikon Profi, when there is a holdover we always strike off each members clock first, then we go on to edit race and alter the date of lib and the result will be corrected automatically. You cannot alter the date of lib before you strike off clocks as the lib date will be different in the pocket clock and will not recocgnise the different date, hope this helps.

I think this is correct as it is a few months now since I had to do it ;D ;D ;D

We use East coast software to manage our clocks, so don't know if Unikon Club manager works like this or not

Would be appreciated if a UNIKON Rep, would come on and give us a step by step instruction on this issue :-/ it seems that the only way you can get instruction info, is by word of mouth, I am not aware of any UNIKON manual that gives such instruction :-/

has a sec myself

if your system is set for a sat lib to calculate velocities from a sat liberation and the holdover accures i would be of the impresstion that you would mneed to re-enter the unikon system on the clubs pc and alter the date of liberation and alter the lib time and date

havent have yet come across the situation yet but would imagine that would be the norm

Once again thank you for all your replies, however, would be nice to be given the correct procedure, rather then people saying "they think " this is what they would do, I have never had to address this problem within my club, but would like to know what to do, as and when it occurs, as it surely will, and I for one, do not want to be responsible for loosing members data, or giving out, an incorrect velocity, Yet again I ask any UNIKON Reps. out there, if they can clarify this procedure? Thank you.

your software should ask you for the date of lib

we just had to fill this in on the pc when doing the result

we have had a few holdovers and never found it a problem

On EastCoast Software you cannot alter the Liberation date until all the clocks are downloaded. This is because the computer will not find the race in the ETS clock if you alter the lib date. You will obviously end up with  a false result with very low velocities. Once download is complete you have to go to race edit and then alter the Liberation date. This also happens if the Race Point has to be moved, i.e. birds brought back due to weather.
