In all the years I have raced with the LNRC it has been a Saturday lib. Is it because of the weather forecast for tomorrow or other factors. The only times I can remember Friday libs was when they used to release after midday to force all birds to have a night out. Just inquisitive
mark Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 hello bob, the southampton north road have always libereated on a friday from thurso.

Just inquisitive If you remember Bob we used to mark on a Tuesday for this race, changed to Wednesday marking 8 years ago or so when a new road was built and we got there much quicker. Its been a Friday race for as long as I can remember but the way the British weather is we lib on a Friday once out of every seven years at a guess.

I do remember the Tuesday marking right enough, at The Jolly Fisherman in Stansted Abbots, but I don't remember many Friday libs. Memory failure, I must be getting past my sell by date ;D ;D. What was the new road they built, was it the A1, (thought that was more than 8 years ago, Oh well time flies ;D ;D ;D )

Tony C Posted July 10, 2009 Report Posted July 10, 2009 Thanks mate................. Hope you and everyone racing today has a good one. It will be a fast one so don't get caught out I remember a good few years back they done over 2000ypm out of there, wont be nowhere near that today but with a clear run could do 55mph which would make it around a 9 hour fly to me lol I'll be out there after 7 hours though the mad fool that I am ;D Thanks for the good luck
