richard Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 Yeah best of luck to all members Richard
Pompey Mick Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 Has the Chale race been the economic success the NFC hoped for? The South Coast sections have not responded with a total of 261 young birds sent between Secs A,B,C & D.and most of them are Gold Ring pigeons. I can't help feeling that Sennen Cove would have attracted more birds and kept a lot more NFC members happy. When I said on an earlier thread that the NFC needed to do something extra special in the Young Bird National to keep disgruntled members in the club that last thing I envisaged was a change of Racepoint to Chale.
DRIES Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 Hi Roland, to reply, isn't whats best for the members best for the NFC and vice versa, I would have thought that it was, anyway, never mind. To all those competing in the NFC race from Chale this weekend, I hope you have a good one, and that hopefully will include me. 3817 young birds 637 old hens total 4464 Best of luck to you all. Mick 2000 BIRDS DOWN ON LAST YEAR. LOSS OF REVENUE £6000 ,
mickmcgrevy Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 Dries, birdage down, yes but still having a race and still enough to make a profit. With the returns that have been talked about on here, its a wonder that members have any birds left to send. So to end on a good note good luck to all that have suported the race. All the best Mick
Guest Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 You're a good man Mick but defending the indefensible doesn't suit you ... i think when we see the accounts for the race a profit will actually be a loss ... as for birdage levels it'll be interesting to see what the BBC get from Sennen Cove next week?

Roland Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 Hi Mick, Not by a long chalk, what is best for the members will strengthen and progress a club. Seems what is best for the Club is rearing it apart.
Roland Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 Because they are far apart and if Members came first ALL sections then it woiuld be the only decent and best club there is... or soon to be was.
