Not to down another stud but we would NEVER send out sick birds!!!! The best birds are NEVER ill. Any bird here with an illness get two days to recover, no medicen, otherwise in the bin. Can't remember the last time we binned an ill pigeon! I can't say how strongly against sending out ill birds I am, it's not fair on the customer put's their hole loft in danger!

Well have to disagree, I'd go to Louella for the cream if I had the money. The interesting thing is that many of the smaller studs selling Jan Aardens have bought them from Louella.

In my opinion the finest 500/700 mile pigeons are in Holland , however because of conditions in this country , it is harder to fly 500/750 mile over here, a lot of the Jan Aarden's don't quite make it because they are used to flying in quicker races over easier terrain. They tend to fly with a tail wind where as our birds always have to fight back in to it to stay on line. With drag if they don't come in to the UK until the Kent coast, it's even tougher for those in South Wales for example because they have to fly 150 miles extra to cover the dog leg. (Look at the Padfield's and their fantastic performances with Jan Aardens, not Louella I know). But the best example of the Louella Jan Aarden's I believe is King of the Faroe's. Gary Cruse in my club was 3rd section, 40th open Tarbes NFC 4000+ birds in 2008 with his Louella Jan Aarden family, don't think any of us would complain about that!

Was not referring to Tumley when writing the above, they have excellent quality based on their own standards.

well, tumley lofts, im just lookingfor good birds, so could you give me a reason why i should go to your lofts to get quality? and examples of what your birds have won?

Ask Mark Gilbert, Louella foundation that won his Internation dax. Never mind what any / or other studs say or WRITER that spouts Espack etc. Double grandchildren and a sound foundation was / is formed.

i think there are many that leave louella that dont make winners but it could be said if in the right hands they could win.

fanciers that may not have been good fanciers race them and then they are no good for them say louella are bad(not meaning anyone on this site but in generel).

there are so many different angles to look at, im not interested in distance racing so i wouldnt buy any.

but i have bought dark van reets from louella and they crossed with my birds did well at fed level.

but i think its fair to say that a few private lofts have good jan aardens.

well i hope roland is right because i have just bought two double grandchildren of invincible spirit!!

Well shoortie, all I can say is our 15 pairs of Jan Aardens have bred pigeones to win up to 1st National! We've had them nearly 20 years now and we still believe they are fantastic distance birds. But I do agree with previous comments, what birds win for one person may not win for another! Some people can pick up street birds and win with there offspring, many can't!!! I can gaurantee that you will get brothers and sister to winners because nearly every Aarden we have has produed winner (apart from the 08 bred birds of course!!!!). So it's up to you to get the best out of them. We have many flyers in Scotland racing these over the channel and I think this must be one of the hardest places to fly into in this country, don't you? Look at our web site for more information and results.

P.S. we don't breed 5,000 birds a year!

He is, ......  wish I could afford them!! Good luck with them, the crux with all these birds is the mating. Matching the coat with the trousers, no good having lovely cut coat and trousers if they are a b*gger together.

from the kits, :),,,,,, have had birds from both tumley lofts louella,  and tumley lofts ,[nothing wrong with either] tumley lofts  leen boers absolute stunners,  scored in snfc yb national few years back,, would have  preffered  the jan  aardens from there , but they were all booked up , at that time ,,small stud,,,big reputation , most yb,s bred direct from prizewinners and in turn going back to the original champs , must admit good buys at reasonable prices ,, but perfect specimans  :) i gennuinly beleive that any pigeons need proper management to show their real worth,,

No problem we've had pigeons winning the NIPA 27,000+ birds for many years now! We're actually coming over to Ireland with some of the first round of young birds and delivering them personally.

do the nipa sent that many birds to france? wow.
