ribble Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Is any one on here racing the Star View Busschaert's? If so at what distance are you getting them from? Thank you.
DUBLINFLYER Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 jayus theres a blast from the past a great bird in their day.... all busschaerts are an all rounder, depends on how you feed the best of luck
jacksboyo Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 john hodgson annan won snfc falaise 2008 with one of his starviews
DUBLINFLYER Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 john hodgson annan won snfc falaise 2008 with one of his starviews so i suppose ye dont have to go back that far so..... just all the latest fancy names are in and it seem some of the old strains are almost gone... although we do keep afew busschaerts ourselves that we wont be getting rid of ;) ours would be parks an fletchers family have them since 1986
Guest strapper Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 i have the starviews here...2 pairs...they hold their own with other breeds, but then again ive never really tested them. had them 2 yrs.

peterpau Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 Had me Busheaarts out to 630 mile Pau and Tarbes, and done well. Not the starview lines mind.
Guest monkeynuts71 Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 im just starting up and i looked for some at blackpool but didnt see any, thought louella might have had some but i didnt see them and i bought a pair lovelly larkins old lines birds, hoping they will bred some good ones
Robert Hyde Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 Try Joan Duncan, She has the best of them at a reasonable price.
DUBLINFLYER Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 dont think he is looking for any,i think just wants to know the distance they could fly out to :-/
jakjak Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 I have an starview ck which won saintes (450) on the day.....with ease I put him at 520 the following year and I could tell it was too far for him. I have had many breeds over the years........and many have fell by the wayside! but my starviews are still here after 15 years and winning prizes
Roland Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 Arguably our best Fed and Alma distance flyer is still with the Bussearts. Hursts Buessarts flew the Rome race, and mate Kev at Northampton also 1012 miles.
jacksboyo Posted February 6, 2009 Report Posted February 6, 2009 john hodgeson won 5 nationals with these birds 6 including last years, all starviews originating from dave hume manchester
JAS Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 We got the Starviews in 2 years ago direct from John Hodgson. We have a sister to his 2008 SNFC winner also a half brother to it which has bred us a winner already. Topped the fed with a Starview youngster direct from John 2008. It will be 2010 before we get any across the channel. Our third y\b home from y\b S.N.F.C was as fresh as daisy when homed.
ribble Posted February 8, 2009 Author Report Posted February 8, 2009 Thank you all, for the input. I e-mailed Louella asking which of the Busschaert family's they have would be best for the longest races, they said the Star view family. I thought i would see if any one was racing them.
