johno Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 kirkys ybs are going with lanarkshire i believe. there is room to potentially convoy around 4000 birds within the caledonian combine, which glasgow is part of.

Guest Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 i will try and make this simple each organization has its own transporter and when the time is right we pool all transporters and use what ever is best suited for the number of birds going 80 /crate 40/crate 30/crat and 20crate trailer all geraldy all state of the ark we have 2 transport managers who arange all that so NO HIRING AT ALL just good old common sence with very well organizations and working together for the sake of the birds and all our clubs

johno Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 bigda you are now trying to be extremely thick. what is the real question you want to ask? you seen the transporters when you were sending at Ken Buchanans place with the old birds.

johno Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 i take it then you are welll aware of south lanarkshire position. see the thread on rpra one loft hotspot and you will see a trailer similar to the one that is part of the combine transport mix.
Darnaway Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 I have read with interest the comments regarding the types of Transporters that each club / organisation has or hasn,t and the ones that have had the foresight to move to state of the art ones must be commended as surely it must help returns by ensuring optimum conditions whilst in the Basket. We all strive to get our birds into tip top condition and the one area that could let us down is the condition the birds have to be exposed to whilst waiting to be liberated.
frank-123 Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 thats correct all these clubs and feds put in the hard work to get state of the art transporters i say well done lets hope all the other feds in scotland can copy there forward thinking and maybe even learn from any mistakes in there transporters
Guest bigda Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 thats correct all these clubs and feds put in the hard work to get state of the art transporters i say well done lets hope all the other feds in Scotland can copy there forward thinking and maybe even learn from any mistakes in there transporters glad you mentioned that Bart but the bit that puzzle"s me is certain guy"s from kirky donated birds for the purchase of state of the art transporters that you enjoy but are not allowed to join your cosy set up that was also the case when Lancashire feds donated to your cause and alas you don"t now want to know the the arm that fed yous strange don"t you think if it wasn't"for the generosity from the Lancashire and kirky donating quality birds for your sales you would not be where you are to day so remember where you come from and who you owe gratitude to :X :X
frank-123 Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 bigda i think you have lost the plot lanarkshire fed!!!!!! most people can use these transporter if they wish to join the caledonian combine keep taking the tablets bigda they will work
Guest bigda Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 bigda i think you have lost the plot lanarkshire fed!!!!!! most people can use these transporter if they wish to join the caledonian combine keep taking the tablets bigda they will work whats the dosage for kirky to get in to the fed then how many tablets have they to take Bart you take there birds for sales but turn your back on them see a shrink Bart :( :X :X ??)
ChrisMaidment08 Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 it amazes me how things resort to insults instead of answers i will give one to ponder over which fed put in for grant to by state of art transporter claiming to transport all of wales birds but dont and expect to be paid fpr its use even though they have it we all own it
I Posted July 24, 2008 Report Posted July 24, 2008 bart and chris i think you are wasting your time in trying to get any commonsense from the character bigda or should that be bigdaw........i know of numerous doomen past and present who are or were glasgow federation members and all the reports in recent years have been that the fed is one of the most forward thinking and progressive in the country. i can remember when a university group approached the fed and asked about an experiment where doos had transfers of birds eyes put on their wings in an attempt to deter hawk attacks. i got one of these doos in and phoned the number on the leg to report in and was amazed to discover what they were trying out, now they have some of the most advanced transport in scotland people want to knock them for looking after the welfare of the doos. the fed is standing out in scotland just now for having vision and courage and the members who are capable of delivering this. i do not doubt for one minute the work or genorisity put in by former members but they choose to leave because they thought they had bigger fish to fry, leaving the fed in a dubious situation regarding finances, members etc. i do not know why you are so envious bigda maybe you see all those federations around yours moving forward and combining to create better conditions and facilities and if this is to be the case maybe you should get off your backside and do something about it. the longest journey starts with the first step but if you are too lazy to make that step then why badger others for doing so. i read on here that lanarkshire are to transport kirky birds but reading your posts bigda it would sound like you do not want them, can you tell us why this is.
ChrisMaidment08 Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 from what isee he points out the fact a lot of fanciers gave to buy transporter now cant use it were they given re fund ithink not was the financial side open and above board or was it as useual a little one sided has there been a frank and open discusion on matter or has it been like this thread mind youer bbusesnes and dont ask
johno Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 bigda you opted not to go with your fed and to go down the east route with another set up this season. your decision. your right. every one has their own rights and they, like you are free to excercise them in whatever way they see suitable. i cannot understand when one so concerned about a situation that exists in their mind would feel easy transporting their pigeons all season with an organisation they apparantly have great issues with. you have been happy to send birds every week. you have been praising the organisation and forward thinking of the officials involved in the running. i do not know what you are trying to achieve here but maybe you should look in the mirror davie.
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 bigda i think you have lost the plot lanarkshire fed!!!!!! most people can use these transporter if they wish to join the caledonian combine keep taking the tablets bigda they will work you are right there Bart , and there are not enough tablets available that could help him
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 glad you mentioned that Bart but the bit that puzzle"s me is certain guy"s from kirky donated birds for the purchase of state of the art transporters that you enjoy but are not allowed to join your cosy set up that was also the case when Lancashire feds donated to your cause and alas you don"t now want to know the the arm that fed yous strange don"t you think if it wasn't"for the generosity from the Lancashire and kirky donating quality birds for your sales you would not be where you are to day so remember where you come from and who you owe gratitude to :X :X you do not really contribute much to Lanarkshire Fed either when you send most of your birds with other organisations, that is your right but if you want to help Lanarkshire Fed raise money to buy new transport then then you and the others who chose to deprive the fed of money should put the birds on our transporter and put the money in to our fed , but you will always find something to greet about no matter what.
Guest bigda Posted July 25, 2008 Report Posted July 25, 2008 you do not really contribute much to Lancashire Fed either when you send most of your birds with other organizations, that is your right but if you want to help Lanarkshire Fed raise money to buy new transport then then you and the others who chose to deprive the fed of money should put the birds on our transporter and put the money in to our fed , but you will always find something to greet about no matter what. may be that your to thick to realise lanarkshire gave £20,000 min to wards the cost of the new transporter in gift birds for your sales and if your secretary is willing to post the accurate amount raised by the likes of the lanarkshire men the midland fed and all who where approached for pigeon for sales, not from your fed, " i await" you will find out who paid for your transporter if i had to use a blow torch on your neck it it would not turn it red, to make the point, then wanted the use of lanarkshires bigg est sales room, from thats where you know generates a lot of moneys and you have benefited from it i am only saying to you why did you take birds from kirky, and now don"t want them now, :X :X :D that you have your new transporter, seem to me your are like the dog in the manger i am sure it will not be a hard a job to produce accounts to justify my quib regarding who gave from kirky and lanarkshire answers on a post card :D
