After six races with Lanarkshire fed I had lost only 3 ybs from a total of 208 sent. I got another one back yesterday and then one more today. ( both covered in mud )That means I have lost one yb over six races. Absolutely fantastic returns although I would have liked a couple of longer races as we only had 122 miles and we may struggle a bit at yb National 261 miles. Nevertheless, we cannot complain after flying the west route for 4 years and being left with very little birds.

Has to be said that the race control team of Jim and Alex (Homer49) have for the last year done a great Job but as Delboy has pointed out could have done with more distance with the young birds. :( :(

Maybe yous should have moved from the west route to the east a few years ago then boys, if this is the sort of racing and returns yous have.

Hope all who is sending to the young bird national have a good race.

Well done Jim, And Alex, good race controlling in difficult weather conditions, i hope you all remember this when it comes to the race programme meeting and we have to decide if its east or west, it should be a no contest after this years turn around for yb,s.
