I agree that the crates could have been designed better as to allow a layer of material on the bottom of the crates but our racing and more importantly our returns have been better since we've used a Geraldy.

are geraldey transporters as good as some think they are had a little experience with one was not impressed with the crates cardboard bottoms no use pigeons feet matted with sh** also tails very dirty  

 

Whose geraldy transporter did you have the pleasure of experiencing.And how did you manage to veiw the condition that the pigeons were in.???????????????????????

there are slight probs with the crates,they could have been designed better,maybe with a grill floor in them.

the trailers are great in my opinion..the big problem is having sensible people using them .

You can fit them out with special grills.I believe Lourdes lofts on here fabricated some specially for this purpose.

we have used the geraldys for2 years now and the birds have allways came home in perfect condition even after 5/6 days in basket so i think maybe you should have a look at your convoyer

By looking at the photo’s they seem to have two different size crates, the ones in the small red trailers seem to be higher with grills at the bottom.

I saw the Almond Valley Geraldy a few years back. It had metal grills on bottom, so I can't imagine birds getting dirty on that. I was impressed by the whole set-up.

 

But there is always room for improvement: we looked at plastic grills with removable bottom tray; Headroom of 10" was felt to be a bit 'tight', though the posted pics appear to show some with increased headroom now?
