Pigeondoll Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Unikon champ good deal, ideal for most of us fanciers. (ok)
Pigeondoll Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 I think that Unikon have lowered their prices a bit. (dizzy)
T_T Posted March 9, 2009 Report Posted March 9, 2009 Difficult to access any ET clocking system with a fair view, unless youv'e seen them all. Myself, I have a Benzing M1 now I know Benzing are a good clock manufacturer and in the past I used a Benzing orange case which was faultless. Must admit I am struggling to set this one up ( coupling ET rings to registration rings ) but when I do, I know it will be a good servant. I have only seen two other clocks, the Bricon and the Tauris and of the two, I prefer the Bricon.

pigeonpete Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 Just want ed to fetch this up again as will be getting an ets system, ready for use this year, in a round about sort of way have been given permission by club sec to use 1 ( even though he hates them ) :-) now maybe best ets is not the right word, would just like to know pros and cons of any of the systems, good or bad, dont want any negatives of why ets should not be used. Unikon? why does it need all these updates etc? and do any of the systems come with sms service as standard? and how effective are they used on a car battery? as have no electrics at my lofts. thanks for any help.

Guest briancol Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 i suppose the best one is the one we all own, whichever one it is. ive got the Unikon champ, i paid £425 for it just 5 or 6 weeks ago. and 20 quid for £20 ets rings.

NO THERE IS NO PREMUIM RATE TO PAY AND YES IT TEXTS THE BIRDS NUMBER AND ARRIVEL TIMES SOME TIMES FIVE BIRDS IN ONE TEXT DEPENDING ON HOW QUICK THE BIRDS ARE BEING TIMED
Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 i paid £795 for mine a few weeks back i got champ loft clock pocket clock 2 pads and 60 rings cracking system so easy to use would recomend it to any one
Guest spin cycle Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 if i bought one i would need the sms function. the pricing structure of unikon/bricon seems complex...so i'm wondering about tauris , £400 for clock (with sms), pad rings etc. trouble is i'd probably need a univers cable at £70...making a total of £470. is this right ? what would be the equivalent bricon or unikon cost ( i'm not worried about 'countinuos clocking' ). unikon has the best support round here...so i'm told (evil)
PIGEON_MAN Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 IF your club allready as ETS I would advise anyone thinking of buying a system to get the same as the other members, this will make it much easier for everyone.
Guest spin cycle Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Hey Spin, He's Unikon's No 1 agent. 8) do you know him?....bit of a 'dodgy geezer' i was told (evil) (evil) (evil) (evil)
T_T Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Just completed my first OB season with my Benzing M1, brilliant!!! and no updates. I think everyone should have an ETS. I've found there's just as much excitement in watching them drop in and their certainly not trap shy.
swilcox Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Unikon for me, its robust and easy to use, every Friday we are all marked and in the bar before Bricon has even started!!!!!!
retired Posted July 15, 2009 Report Posted July 15, 2009 Unikon for me, its robust and easy to use, every Friday we are all marked and in the bar before Bricon has even started!!!!!! That must be down to either doing the Unikon frst or in the incompetence of the Marking committee at the club as it doesnt take our club any longer to do either.
