TBH i have not selected any as i could probably tick all of them bar one. I'd go to one or two top lofts and buy all there top stock and race birds, or at least a full round from all their birds. It would depend at that time of what racing i fancy, but there are a few lofts i've already got birds from that the majority of UK and Irish fanciers have never heard of, yet have won NPO's etc.

If i had to name one person i'd like to buy out completely (if i could, money no object) then it would have to be Frans Zwols, or Wall, Lunt and Green.

Also agree with Vallance about the Van Den Driessche, one of the directs i have is what i would class as almost perfect handling wise (balance shape feathering etc).

If money was no object, I would move to Spring Hill in Florida. Now if you like competition that is the place for it. Big birdages and a lot of money invovlved. The competition is so fierce that your bird has to land directly onto the pad and can not dog leg never mind circle.

Besides I would love to live in a nice climate like that. Not too much rain, no frost and plenty of sunshine.

I think I will buy a lottery ticket tonight.  :) :)

I used to have a smallholding with a barn. I sold it in 1995 and moved to where I am now. When I had the smallholding I did not have an interest in pigeons.

After I moved here I wanted to keep up my interest in some sort of livestock. At first I thought it would be dogs. Then I decided I would have a go at racing pigeons. I am still trying to work out if I have done the right thing. I did not expect the hassle of neighbours, cats, hawks and especially not the illnesses that they get. But nothing is better than seeing your bird coming in from a race.
