Roland Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 No one distracts from a National winner. A winner is a winner. In the 123 years or so in this area there have been just three so - called national winners. Now when one takes in consideration the likes of Frankie George, agreat rival - friendly rivalry - with Louis Masserella and co, had very the best money could buy. Had the crack managers, built them houses and lofts. Paid world record prices Like 'Morning Cloud' etc. etc. and at best he had good section wins, so thing tells mosy something. So no I have no National winner in my loft... probably better birds though than some that were, are, National winner though ;D ;D
Guest Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 anyway this thread is about how many national winners you have in your loft not about who says what distance constitutes a national, so spit it out how many national winners do you have in your loft . Yes but its been a damned good thread and brought up several interesting issues, and I did hope by the time i posted again I would have a National winner in my loft but no one has donated one to me, so I still have NONE!!
Guest Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 Keep going though Alan, you are too good a pigeon man not to get one! It will happen for you mate, i know it will!

mark Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 Very kind Dave thank you... let's hope so to win from the distance whether your racing against 10 birds or 1000 birds you still have to get them home. if you are the winner or just take a card its some achievement to clock one in race time from the distance.
Roland Posted February 19, 2010 Report Posted February 19, 2010 Sorry STB I have none. Which isn't suprising as there is only been about 3 all told in about 123 years of trying. Perhap Frankie George. Alf Jones.... :-/ Reg Gutterigde did the Gold Cup from Lerwicke, but of the 8 sent he only nominated 4 ... Yes the Fed winner etc. would have won....But wasn't entered
