HOMERp Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 Hi there Folks I have just started with pigeons and hope to race y/bs this season . I have joined a club that is a member of the Lanarkshire federation. However I am a wee bit worried ??) as everyone I speak to tell me that it’s the hardest federation to fly in. as there are many great pigeon men competing in it. Has anyone got any sound advice as how I may be able to fly my y/bs successfully in this area. As I don’t want to move to an area that is easier to fly in just yet. Cheers.
HOMERp Posted March 4, 2010 Author Report Posted March 4, 2010 coatbridge club i belive there are great pigeon men there as well

Tony C Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 Show your keen, accept defeat gracefully, put as many pigeons through on marking nights as you can, it wont go unnoticed. You may find you'll be taken under someone’s wing, some decent y/birds offered may even come your way. Set yourself some realistic targets and don’t take your eye of the ball. It's a hard game and rewards to start with are small but stck in there and your day will come. Good luck.
nogin Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 Seriously I am a member of Coatbridge social circle m8 ARE YOU FROM GLENBOIG :-/
bullcock Posted March 4, 2010 Report Posted March 4, 2010 Enjoy your 1st years experience and try not to look too much at the results, yes try and compete but better still try and learn from the successful flyers and your own mistakes which we all make(even the good flyers will make mistakes) its recognising and solving them that makes a good flyer. keep your ears open and listen to the advice of the good flyers around you. hope you have a successful season and some good birds left over.
