This is the real anwser one ring for all this is what we should be pushing for then the price will fall ;)

this is where the unions should of tested each system and given the go ahead for one system with the proviso that they made the rings cheaply and kept there cost down  ;)

maybe that clubs do pay for rubbers but it costs the members whichever way you look at it

just put boot on other foot and if a club had only one member on rubbers they would still have to pay for them and is that fair on the ets members?, the way forward is for clubs and feds to take the lead and get discounts for both ets rings and rubbers by bulk buying and passing the savings back to the members, i am sure deals can be done , as regards cost of ets rings  i agree they are overpriced but until we the customer do something about it thats the way of the world im afraid, we either have to put up or shut up! its very similar to the petrol price scenario no-one is doing anything about the record prices but theres plenty of news items about it

why dont the unions tell the ets companies the price the members should pay for the rings or they will put some kind of sanction on the companies to make them reduce their prices

well lobby your union to m ake all ets manufacturers open their clocks to clock any make of hitag chip, they can and new benzing do -was told by j savage benzing rep also told that members thhat bought his system sent for more rings this year ---price £1.02p each.

i am now useing my BRICON Speedy connected through UNIKON ringer on saturday and wed raceing --saves setting up 2 masters  works well.

IF YOU TRY THIS REMEMBER TO SYNC YOUR SPEEDY AT HOME AS YOU ARE USEING A RUNNING CLOCK AND IT MAY HAVE LOST OR GAINED A SECOND DURING THE WEEK.

and how would they do that? its a competitive market. why dont the unions tell the feed suppliers what members will pay for feeding? it costs far more per pigeon than a ring over a season

One day, i'd like as well to have an ETS. All i need is Patient. Till one of the manufacturers or suppliers lowers the price.  It's ideal for training if you go straight to work in the morning after releasing the birds. I train my birds 3X a week (aprrox. 35 miles per training). It's been hard work.

But still do the T3 clock for the racing day for more excitement. ;)

iI bet the member who does your ets luvs you :-/

I was just about to say the same thing ;) I do the ets in our club and it can be a nightmare,, especially when fanciers don't know the ring numbers of their own pigeons,, if they started swapping them off old birds and onto their youngbirds I'd have to lie down in a darkened room for a long time ;D ;D

Both myself and The Fifer, do this task in our club, after the old bird racing is over, we clear the clocks, and this enables the members to use the same rings on their youngsters. Granted it is extra work, but we don,t mind, we laid down ground rules, which inform members a given date their rings and clocks must be in by. Also each member must supply a list of all birds he/she wishes an ETS ring to be assigned to. Mistakes do happen, but hey come on, we allmake mistakes ;)

its a funny old world , you guys spend a fortune on drugs your birds dont need or should not need , you keep dogs or a dog to keep cats away , you buy electric fences to ward of cats, then you complain about the price of a few e.t.s. rings the solution is bread fewer young birds , dont use all them crappy drugs on your birds ,  and stop fannying about and get yourself a cat box
