Just wondered which nettle plant is used?

 

In Scotland we have 2 types, a 'jaggy' nettle which looks like our thistle, the leaves end in long spikes that can give you a queer jag; and a 'stinging' nettle, a nasty thing that stings, leaves the skin sensitive to sunlight that brings you out in rashes and blisters. Hard to believe you can make a tea from that.  ;D

Agree if you are looking at something that is not produced for pigeons cant beat metatone

Never used Johnsons, don't intend to , and me personally, I have never worried about the cost of anything when making a purchase for the birds, and I  certainly won't be picking among nettles Dave, been stung enough . ;D ;D

 

Well you've certainly changed your tune from when i used to take you up for your feeding and you used to moan like an auld wumin about the price of this & that for stuff for the pigeons ;D ;D

Maybe because you can make your own iron tonic out of nettles for the birds

 

i have no idea rose it does not mention it in the post from tammy so where did nettles come in to it
