If its PMV, the only one available just now is Nobilis, and the minimum age for it is 5 weeks.

6/7 weeks is a good time; the birds are a lot easier to handle at that age.

£22 for 80 birds. If you have a small number, maybes best to share with another fancier.

Vetrinary advice is to do them soon after leaving the nest. That way they are protected early.

You never know when you might get a stray carrying the disease in.

when vaccinating your birds,do you put the vaccine in the birds neck and also change needles or the same one.what do other fanciers doo.

Its the bottom part of the neck, almost 'between the shoulders' and mid line.

Needle points toward tail, angle about 45 degrees. Push till needle is just under the skin (till the top of the diagonal cut end of the needle disappears from view). Bird has a double skin, vaccine has to go in 'space' between each layer.

Nobilis comes with its own sterilising kit, cup, surgical spirits, sponge. You get into a rythm - jabbing the bird, then jabbing the sponge to sterilise the needle - then jabbing the next bird. The surgical spirit goes in the cup first, The sponge sits inside the cup and soaks up the spirit which sterilises the needle each time it's jabbed into the sponge. Prevents infection spreading between birds..
