chaz Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 They were my own family based on the a Red Joe E Shore cock from chesire, they were bred for the distance and the year I had to pack up a Grandson was 1st club (only bird on the day) 6 th Fed (only 7 on the day) from Saintes around the 480- mile mark , unfortunately he was killed by a sparrowhawk a fortnight later, the strawberry mealy is an inbred son of the saintes cock and would hopefully of carried the line on for me, when I packed up none of the locals wanted these bird so they all had to be culled :'( :'( :'( Old Joe the foundation cock The Saintes cocks sire he flew saintes 3 times himself and an inbred son of the saintes cock
