Me and my ferrets assisted by air rifle. - Well it worked for Foxesfan on here lol  ;D

We went a little over the top with that job but i am really sure that A JR dog will keep them away - Feel confident the one i just bought will do anyways.

hi all anyone know a sure fire way of getting rid of these beggars thanks

I wish went into my loft the day and saw another hole made by these beggers. Pulled out my nest boxes and they had stored food and shat and pi$$ed all over the corner. Tried tonight pouring bleech over the hole and down the back of the hut were they are getting in. Also set a bunge string so it will go off in the ba$tards face if it goes near.

Found that pouring creasote around the loft stops them but cant get a hold of anymore

Do use rat poison in the name of roban it's crap and doesnt work but costs a fortune been putting it down since January after blackpool were I got it and it's crap

Would cresote subsitute (About £7 from Wilko's) with a little Oil added not serve the same purpose?

Get a couple of fen traps and put some grub in a bucket or a hole next to where you know they are getting in and you'll catch them easy enough i have done it myself a few times ;)

At Foxes place we took the shed down and then lifted the slabs up where there was a course of sand and cement in which the rats had built a full tunnel system i put one of the ferrets down and it brought the rats to our attention and gave an indication of where they were once we had ripped all the slabs up the mother bolted and was shot followed by three of the young - Three got away but havent been seen since.

I do wonder if a concrete base is a must - When i put my main loft up at the new address i plan to concrete the bottom and then go three level bricks high as this will give the room for the dog and ferrets to go under the loft and even the cats during the night when the dog is locked away.

Hoping these methods will be enough but if not am prepared to tin the floors under the grills also.

bought a bucket of the stuff at blackpool so got loads they are eating it but still there was told they can have a litter of 15 every couple of months thats alot of rats.

We had a load of wood over the fence for a few weeks and set it on fire and 7 rats ran out it so going to do that again and put a tin fence round it when we light it

there is a product out called the nooskie look it up on the net put a rubber band on the rats neck  instantly dead with in minutes  the refill cost £1 for twenty  good value when you consider those blocks,  the bloke that sold me them, a few years ago, must have had a laugh around the camp fire,  as i could have  swore they where Viagra some sort of breeding  mix, got better ones  from a pal with the council, although they take 3 days one sitting   :o

Try eradibait, I bought some and if your birds happen to get at it then it doesn't harm them there is something in the rats make up that starts it off and all their organs pack up, I moved on my allotment and it was overgrown hadn't been used for years there were rats everywhere tried the blue blocks took them for fun, in fact one day I dropped one and a rat run from under the shed and took it down a hole so I ordered this stuff and as it said it took them a few days to start taking it but very soon they stopped taking it altogether, I have it down all the time and now and again some goes but have not seen a rat for ages.
