Hi every one whats the best stuff to use for this mite ,only one bird has it i think and i would be much obliged for any info about this mite and how to get rid of it cheers bev

I have tried a few different things, the only one that worked was Sudocrem.

 

It contains Benzyl Benzoate and is cheap as chips.

Presume you mean depluming mite? ivermectin will cure it.

bird has a small baldy patch on chest picking it tried ivermectin no joy im afraid thanks anyway

a old way to do it is with lighter fluld dab with cotton wool

go to the chemist and ask for quellada lotion that will do the job used for body lice in humans,

Looks good stuff and cheap enough,well worth a try. Failing that an injection of ivermectin 1mg/bird at vets.atb.

datarin , for athetes feet condition was used a few years ago , never used it myself , as my birds have never had the condition , it used to be called feather rot

spray all your birds onchest area and back of neck with virkon s  put it in a gallon garden spray it will cure it straight away spray your loft also. use warm water. believe me it will cure it. 100%.

well i use help flax boi base on the floor! and if you very slighty dampin the besddin then put in nest bowls notihng will live in it! works for me anyway none of my ybs or old birds have mite or lice! also nice smell of bedding when very slighty dampened
