peterpau Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 Tobbacco must be as common as any for nesting material. Honey, lemon juice. Modern medicine only when we aint got it right though.
OLDYELLOW Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 pine needles can be used as nesting material and new pine needles can be used to make tea 10 times more vitamin c in pine needles than a lemon

These guys had to be very clever and did not have access to the remedies/information we have nowadays. This is the case with human well being too. The more options the better for all and it would be good to hear more, even if they are a bit obscure. Interesting post, thanks.

Lennut Tar Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 What are the natural products as the so called 'old guys' use instead of modern day supplements and treatments? Im talking about Garlic, apple cider vinegar and cayeene pepper etc etc etc and what are the others? and what are there uses? Boy !!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D How long is a piece of string etc ;) the items/products one could use at different times is endless, one could say in this sport. Now !!!!!! one of the most fasinating subjects etc one could study, is the use of herbs & spices. Both for humans & pigeons one could say. A couple of things :P which may be of interest ?????????? are !!!!!!!. Cayenne Pepper, seeing as it's the flavour of the month at the moment :) when used in conjuction with most/any other herbs is far better, than when used on it's own, more so for the benefit of the other herbs etc one may use. Another one !!!!!!! Olive Leaf Extract :X :X :X but read up on it ;) & you may find something of interest. Enjoy.
