the dropping are fine the bird was ok when i let them out in the morning i only noticed it when they came back in about an hour ago

If the droppings really are fine, you should be able to pick one off the perch. Try another vet, you need more in depth testing.

hope you are still reading get some ground nut oil and put a quater of a  t spoon down every birds throat every other day even the sick one there feathers will get all oily because they will shake their heads and get it on their feathers ,keep this up try and put all the ones that are ill together in one place ,dont kill any just let them die of their own acord ,get some electrolits and put it in the water keep it in the water untill they start to get beter not all will die and those that get over it will never get it again ,now all that are reading this i hope you are taking note with this remedie all is not lost  just let it take its course ,.and next time get them injected .plus keep them on a small seed mix .ATB les.been there done it in my second year ,it wont happen to me again ,this remidy was in a book i read it worked for me ,the virus gets in through the crop that is what makes them start to drink a lot the oil coats the crop stoping the virus penertrating  it hope it is not paramixo but if it is this will save a lot of the birds .good luck any questions just ask .

OFFICIAL REPORT and i quote from it hope it is helpful when you speak to your vet.

signs of PARAMYXOVIRUS, such as watery diarrhoea,  going round in cicles, loss of balance, difficulty in picking up food. in some cases mortality was as high as 80%.  some lofts the young birds had been vaccinated against paramyxovirus but couldnt respond as they had already been infected by a secondary viral disease CICOVIRUS INFECTION  Cicovirus is involved in some outbreaks of YOUNG BIRD SICKNESS. Circovirrus can only be diagnosed by carrying out a post mortem not part of thr standard post mortem. investigations carried out on 36 y/birds from 17 lofts suffering from a range of problems. results staggering. 27 of the thirty six birds, representing14 out of 17 lofts. Circovirus not only prevents the birds from fighting off other diseases. vaccinate birds as early as possible --from 3-4 weks if delayed the birds may first become infected with Circovirus, damaging their immine system will prevent them from responding to paramyxovirus vaccine

But these are also signs of salmonella and meningitis as well :-/

dove scot ---- you are correct but the danger of the CIRCO VIRUS  is that any other disease can not be treated as the immiune system is disabled.

keep using the virkon s to wash the floor ,if the dropings get watery which they will with paro it is caused by the amount of water they will drink to stop the crop iretating them ,put sawdust on the floor to soak it up cleen out every day ,dont let them be with out water or more will die ,this is going to be a long and slow job hope you are up to it if not get some one to put them out of their misery ,it took me 7 weeks to get it all clear all depends how many birds you got ,because it will go through the lot some will just get watery dropings some will get the shakes and some will get the twisted neck those with twisted neck will have to be feed by puting peas soaked over night in water down their throats ,about 10  three times a day  followed by a t spoon of water and electrolites you can see it is not going to be easy but it all depends on how mutch you like your birds .ATB les only give peas to the ones with twisted necks give seed to the others ,and dont forget give the ground nut oil every other day .

i know a person who has her immune system deliberately supressed after a transplant and now is in great danger of suffering from all sorts that would not be a problem to the rest of us Thats what the Cicovirus does disables the immune system.

i had para dont mind admitting it in the end i killed 2 birds thats all.the others became immune and never suffered from any side effects.floor was like a sea of sh** from day one though horrid smell.i would say more likely this bird has salmonella.

Not too late to jab. most should be done at least twice, 3 times as youngsters. - This we discussed on here before -

Personally I would remove, and treat all the others pronto. Bet your bottom dollar they all have, even if not showing signs yet.
