Seen this b4 in an older bird, made a small cut and when the bird flapped it,s wings, trapped air escaped, no ill effects. However, wait and see wht others say Dunc m8 ;)

its something to do with when cocks show off a valve does not release the air so it builds up will be fine

It is a young cock, but only three weeks old :-/

be careful when drawing it out with a syringe, that you dont draw its stomach in ,

I am not going to use the syringe, just a syringe needle :-/

Thanks guys it worked fine, only trouble is while we are holding it it stays deflated, but when we put it back in the nest it inflates again, we had to do it a third time. This time we are keeping it held to see if it make any difference.

We have held it now for about 15 mins and it is staying deflated :-/

he should be fine bet he reared up when you put him in nest drawing more air in

He did just that, will it just keep inflating, if so what is the best thing to do, still remaining deflated while I hold it :(

once air is out put him in a dark box for 24hrs, then this will give both the syringe hole and ruptured sack chance to heel so that he doesn't draw more air in when you go near him!

you can only watch him or go way of my pm

Well that has been 45 mins of holding him an still staying deflated, away to put him back in the nest and hope for the best :-/
