terry mccarthy Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 get them on a broad spectrum antibiotic as soon as possible in mean time get tested but who by is another thing as there 99 percent crap and just want your money and say its the same old thing anyway at least if u are treating it wont get no worse but would advise against baytrill untill u no wat it is just in case its strepptococci

Guest bigda Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 if you can get some bicarbnate of soda in to them with a syringe mate mix up a tea spoon full to half a pint of water then if its para you will need to get baytril from the vet to kill of any secondry this will give you time to nurse them back to the point of time they can eat on there own this can take 4-6 weeks then a further 6 weeks for them to get over the virus

kev43 Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 no just a pals pigeons were droppin dead like flies and he went 2 maff and they biopsied his bird and found it 2 b caused by damp straw used previously for chickens and the spores from the straw were blowin in2 his loft,, we all thought it was paratyphoid or paramyxo but it wasnt either i cant remember the name now but it was caused by the spores from straw m8
