only 1 egg

ive got a pigeon what has only laid 1 egg,4 days later and still 1 egg why is this?

i would of said because of the cold i paired up early last year and had a few with only one egg hence why im pairing later this year . how old is the hen by the way

Some maiden hens only lay one or some even lay a smaller that normal egg, just make sure it is not egg bound by checking for swelling at the vent, but if four days have past and it looks healthy I would not think so :-/

Then I would just let nature take it's course and see if it is fertile :-/

I have paired my hen up in may 1 year when i move house and she still only laid 1 egg in first nest, i put it down to that she lays 2 quick after 6or 7 days.
