hepste Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Deweerds are top Dutch long distance fliers Deweerts are actually Belgian long ditance birds, a strain created by Emiel Deweert, and now continued by son Bernard. I visited Bernard last year. Nice chap. Told me he wasn't in pigeons for the money, but went on to offer me birds starting from 250 euros or similar! I came to the conclusion that money wasnt as unimportant as he tried to claim.
Williedoo Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 emil deweeds was he not from Belguim Piet De Weerd is from Holland

Chris Little Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Seen a similiar thread to this one before, people easily get mixed between the two. Emiel Deweert from Kortemark Belgium, now known as Mvr Deweert & Sons. I reckon Geoff Cooper and Mark Gilbert have the best of these. Piet Deweerd, now Henk Deweerd from Breda Holland (Interpalomas Lofts)

I went on a trip there as well and he wanted 750 quid for an old hen that was 5 year old hadn't won nowt yet was related to his national winner. I drank a lot of his coke and ate some waffles and let the over daft lads on the bus but them off him.

Guest Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 these are super pigeons! winning all over the british isles!
