does any one use the tonic in the l corby book and i think it is in the loft stock book as well.

4  parts to the tonic with iron , parrish's and cytacon. and liqiud liver i think,i  was reading it over the weekend

 

did it help the birds or make no real difference

All good produts if used correctly,I haven't seen the books you mention but parrishes food contains iron.I've made a tonic up years ago with cytacon,parrishes and something else ,I would have to look through my old books to jog the brain cells a bit.Lindsay C.

it was made from parrish's and cytacon vit b12 and iodine and it worked [for me i noticed a difference in the birds] try to get hold the pigeon fanciers handbook [one or two]

meditech has the full kit at £16.99 for the 4 bottles , top up to 1 pint of water and store in the fridge ,i think the book says so it should go a long way

i will look at the book tonight and put how much of the tonice per pint you need, i dont think its much

 

there is allso a salts tonic which is in the book again it looks like meditech sell most of this stuff,

 

i did go to my local chemist and ask for the bits for the tonic but they never had parrish's or the other bits ,

That's it mate,I've got the books somewhere,it's a good tonic.

barry mcnicholas  tonic

3 tablespoon cytacon

same parrish's

same liquid liver

1 teaspoon lugols iodine

add water to make a pint then 2 tablespoon to 5 pints of water

buckfast the best mate great tonic wine, also good for long waite on pigeons

corby tonic

1 tablespoon lugols

3 parrish's

3 cytacon

 

add to make 1 pint , mix 3 tablespoons to 4 pints of water

 

a little stronger than the previous one
