never had to but would of thought if you spray some alchol onto the pigeon top of the pigeon thigh would be easyer to take a blood sample from there as if you go wrong putting an needle into base of neck you could end up nacking the pigeons up

Thought you took blood from toes or ankles - unless you are a vet - you just 'pinprick' the bird - it depends what you want - DNA is just done from a couple of drops of blood on a supplied 'cotton bud' with a cover

RED CHEQHEN YOU TAKE IT FROM THE WING BUTT ONTO GLASS SLIDE ASSUMING FOR TESTING BETTER WITH ASSISTANCE SOMETIMES BLOOD SPURTS DONT PANIC ONLY LASTS A SECOND OR TWO HOPE THIS HELPS

DNA easily done from a feather, much easier than blood.
