Tony C Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 V.L. All rounder. Morning feed mixed 50/50 with G10 pellets
Guest speckled Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 Gems breding mix but added to that i use barley, :-/ plus pellets, plenty of fresh grit, red & black minerals. But once the youngsters have hatched the first 5 day i feed pellets only in the morning, & good corn in the evening,as i find that the y/bs need a good crop full first thing & so with feeding pellets first it does not stain the parents while pumping, the y/bs as :-/ the pellets are very easy to digest bit like weetabix really( mush.). ;D ;Dwell works for me Speck
jimmy white Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 i feed a high protein feed with a little maize , galley pots of peanuts in their boxes, couple of tablespoons of baby milk powder in their water , and fresh grit, minerals, pickstones ,every day, never tried pellets, but can see the sense in using them as described.
ACE LOFTS Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 will be using start plus same as last year but will add mung beans to it to extra protien.
schyphos Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 Hi Wiley, My birds will get a general breeding mix and also get G10's,Turkey pellets,Puppy meal and Hormoform added. With SMA Gold added to the water.
THE FIFER Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 use versa laga plus mixes, ie breeding. racing, moulting, and they get hormoform, grit all the time i like kilpatricks and black mins. at the moment i am using versa laga all round but will go onto the breeding mix soon, or i think its called new start or something now.
Wiley Posted December 27, 2006 Author Report Posted December 27, 2006 going to try something different this year i think that i picked up on a dvd so i can supply the birds with 3 different grains ect at 3 different times. So i will be checking out some grains in the next few weeks to see what 2 grains i will be using alongside g10 pellets which ive never used before but intend on using this year
Guest shadow Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 Beware of using turkey pellets as they usually have antibiotics added use poultry pellets in stead
