Carl turner in crewe was good mates with tony and ann, and had birds off them, he was a top flyer with these birds, he retired last year due to personal circumstances

sapper756 Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 I have the Mardon VanReets, and 1 cock in particular is breeding the goods;A grandson of; Redgod,Toeys Future,Toey, Regality.; A 2year old mealy pied cock flying widowhood, from him this year, was my first bird back to the loft, from 4 of the 5 races he entered, approx 20plus birds sent, taking numerous club possitions. A 2009 young blue pied hen, who scored the following from this years SNFC/Fife Fed race from Leicester, 260miles 1st club,6thSect. 10th Fife Fed, 98th SNFC Open Also have a 3year old cock who won ; 1st club, 11th Sect. 17th Open Fife Fed Leicester 260miles So I am happy with my Mardon Van Reets

Beanz Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 I prefer the Hession and Pallatt lines myself but each to his own, have been told to cross the Mardens into other lines of the Van Reets but I havent tried it yet, was told by a fancier that when they got them they couldn't fly round the loft but as soon as he crossed them they really took off and have won ever since so maybe its time to try it. Having said that I have acquired some more. Paul
