Guest joshdonlan Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Today when going to the Farm corn merchant i noticed that they have a small supply of pigeon goods. I got some wormer, and asked if they supply corn. Well they do. I normally buy YB High Protein by Bamfords from the pigeon store £9.50 for 20 KG, but i thought to save time i will try their corn. I bough Bucktons VIP because i liked the look of it. It was £10.99 is that cheap or expensive? More questions ;D What is VIP for? Are Bucktons better than Bamfords? What is the hierachy for brands? Has anyone heard of a mix called diamond???
PIGEON_MAN Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 If you look up Swainstons corn on the notice board from the other day you will see some interesting postings about corn.
Guest joshdonlan Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Basically is Bucktons better value than Bamfords?
pjc Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 the main thing when looking at corn, is look at the quality of thr grain, how clean is it and how is it stored.

Has anyone heard of a mix called diamond??? According to their guide, VIP is a young birds racing mix for 130 - 300 miles. Hi-protein, Hi-fat, Lo-carbohydrate, containing [highest to lowest]:- Maples, Wheat, Tares, Red Dari, White Dari, Safflower seed & Popcorn Maize. Their mixtures certainly aren't cheap. Sorry can't comment on the other Brands as my supplier does only Bucktons.
