Stop moaning the lot of ya your giving me the headache! Debbie my dear when will the essex run be for me please sweetheart x

Braw if you can tie it in with the four I have going to Essex ;)

Pigeon tracker was a day late in picking up from me, no problem in fact we had a good chat and he went away with a free bag of shavings :-/

Flyin Couriers was a couple of hours late at getting to me so I left my van open with the birds and the money in it and they left replacement boxes in the van

Cooper logistics were on time and it was my mistake they were late because I left my phone in the workshop and they could not get in touch with me, even though Chickadee was there they weren't to know

These and other couriers are trying their best to fill the wake of Amtrak but they never will in the short term due to them not having a full national network and hubs, but they are far better than Amtrak in the sense they are pigeon orientated so until they get up to speed we have to give a little and try our best to help them out :-/

Debbie if you have had drivers down this way today they would of had to take it easy as the roads have been very bad. Seems council didnt want to get their gritters dirty. Doubt it will be any better tomorrow as been out and about all evening and only saw one gritter out again.

lastnight had a phonecall to say ..its flying courriers here, we,ve got a pickup with you tomorrow, im ringing to ask will you be in tomorrow, i answered well as long as the driver phones me with a few hrs in advanced roughly what time he,ll be calling then thats fine...she answered well thats ok shouldnt be a problem?

well as the time is now 8.33 pm and now ive just recieved a phonecall from the driver asking can he pick up about  10pm tonite, ive told him in no uncertain terms NO!.

i told them ive been waiting all day for them without a phonecall ,and birds in the basket all day long.

so i feel sorry for the person they were going too, they will be later now receiving them...paul.

Hi Strapper i have just got home myself after going out at 4am this morning once again. I do not know what has made you come onto a thread and slate us when we phoned you 2 hours before we could pick up as you asked. I dont know if you have seen the weather today but where i have been it has been very icy and snowy and i have nearly lost control of my vehicle atleast 4 times today. I was due home at around 8pm and it is now 23:45. Even though the roads are like this i still carried on putting myself at risk of having a accident and got what i needed to get done. I am unhappy as i have spoken to my driver and he says you were very rude to him over the phone. As far as i am aware this is the first time we have had a rude customer and this is why ??? It will have been the same for everybody delivering today i even seen a business post van stuck in the snow at the side of the road near Sheffield this evening. We do not give any customer a time as we cannot as we do not know what traffic is going to be like throughout the day and like today the weather. I would understand if we did not bother turning up and not telling you but we have done everything we were asked you say you waited in all day but you asked us to phone you a hour before so you would be in ??? The driver in question has been on the road since 4:30 and i have just come off the phone to him now and he is not going to be home till 3am as he is crawling on the motorway as the weather is that bad. I apologise to yourself that we would have been late collecting the bird from yourself and i think it is only fair that you apologise to my driver as he is only doing his job and his best to make fanciers happy as all courier drivers who are collecting / delivering pigeons are. I hope you understand and except our apology.

           Thanx.

Received a message from Pigeon Express last evening that whilst on route, an accident occurred closing the M5 with long delays expected hindering his already delayed delivery because his exaust had fallen off earlier which put him back two hours.  I, like most, don't really appreciate traffic problems that these people face.  I went out with this guy once and set off at 7am Sun morning and got home at 11:10 am Mon morning.

It would of course be nice to be kept informed as most of them do.  I look at it this way, if they accommodate me, the least I can do is return the favour.

hi thier strapper as i have apoligised to yourself on the phone tonight i did explain to yourself that it was pm as you were 2nd to last on my manifest. My driver did ring you as requested 1 and half hour before hand and this you told him not to bother i did myself ring you and it was the same. I have contacted the other person and apoligised as i will myself be seeing him on Saturday. I do appreciated the good with the bad feedbacki and the more iam told the more i can learn from it. I will hold my hands up when i have done wrong but in this instince feel not on my part as i have tried to pick up for a customer. I do not have any bad feelings to yourself iam pleased with your feed back and am arranging new pick up day and time hopefully the weather be bit better as you willl know i have let my drivers know to take it slowly due to our snowy conditions. All i can do is apoligise to yourself and hope i have not upset yourself to much and will arrange pick up again at a reasonable time which to suit yourself

thanks debs

debs ,there is no ill feeling with ur company and ill put it down to a simple misunderstanding and its history ,all the best ...paul.
