pigeonforce Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 Just looking for any info on the birds that Henry Muir sells (Lionhearts) in the Bhw every week. Has anyone bought any of these birds and won with them. Anything on the birds or Henry would be very greatfully welcomed either on this posting or by PM. Thank you (Please note : this is me asking your personal opinion of Henry and his birds from experience you may have had with him/them) Daryl

Guest bernie w Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 Not sure of todays situation but several years ago he was buying hundreds of rings a year
lordcornwallis Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 henry is a nice man but his birds aint worth £30 he never ever won a race in irvine club or a diploma of any kind ,hes a feather merchant. also the bird he timed in the 1000 mile race lionheart was bought from a local fancier who was packing it in.the other 2 may have been bred by him . so in closing henry has made a fortune selling pigeons for 30 years and is not even a fancier so keep your money and buy of bird trader you will have a better chance lc
Novice Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 His last race was in 1968. His best club position was 3 rd Club from 120 miles. His pigeon Lionheart homed from Barcelona----it took a long time but I think it was about 10 days. It was the record holder into Scotland---probably because very few tried that distance. The bird was bought by Frank Hall on behalf of Jim Biss. Some of the Biss champions contained it's blood lines. I believe there is a member on here from the South of England who has won with Mair bloodlines. In proportion to the numbers sold over the years it's not an outstanding success rate.

fletch Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 wether it took 9 or 10 days to come the guy has sold birds on the reputation of it and yes he may never of won but hey people keep buying off him and my opinion is i would never buy off him, but ya pay your money you take your chance, and sometime someone will have a decent bird off him by the % of birds he sells
Guest stb- Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 8) it took 9 days novice and how many birds was it competing with into scotland to be first :X ??) ??) ??) not a lot ;D
