Quite agree Alf have sent for a few birds in my time as well and at least the person who got your bird in reported it and deserves thanks for that not called an "ar$ehole" after all he does not know the history of the bird does he? Hope thats made my original post clearer! Have to say i dont agree in this case as i was told by the person who reported it that it was'nt looking very good and he only had it in for 2 days and then after it was picked up and i spoke to Jimmy on the phone today he said he did'nt think it had been living wild and it was in not too bad a condition...the truth is he's a nice looking blue pied cock and the guy must have fancied him as i know a few people who have visited my loft said he was a nice pigeon!

Had an awful lot of nice Blue Pieds in my time as well Alf unfortunately the nice looking ones are not alwas the best. Saying that I have had very similar experiences to yourself over the years, but as I say at least the guy reported the bird and you are getting it back.
Guest Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 why do some fanciers wait till this time of the year to report a bird thats been missing for all that time ??????
