i would go along with sapper on this yes maybe a wee bit over kill about members not being able to comment they would just start another thread and lets face it it should be the same as your local shows just a bit of fun and i cant believe some one would cheat at this but like other things we will prob. have a few sad people on here yes have a show and have some fun and pick the judges

its not really fare  we all have different cameras and people will be photoshopping there birds to bring out the colours in them

It wasn't the bolster-voting that switched the webmaster off running an annual show. If I remember correctly it was only a couple of the younger members that tried to up their votes. If you read the second part of his post, its clear that he felt the work he put into this Site just wasn't appreciated. In my opinion its down to the way members behaved at that time that cancelled the shows.

put a poll up for the judges then everyone will know who the judges are and will be sending them pms telling them all about there birds the judges should be kept private till the last minute it also saves people doing what they done when they ran the last show

the problem was with the polls the last time members re registering to vote for there own birds the same will happen with a poll for the judges

Never heard of a show/competition, where participants have a say on who gets to judge thier entries, however I may be wrong :-/

it might be members commenting about others birds nothing wrong with that the judges will make up there own minds just like the local shows so i dont think it would be fair to disqualify a bird for that and with all due respect thimbles if you are not for it let the ones who  want a bit of fun have it maybe you could be a judge i dont want to take photes of my birds so i wont be entering either but it will be good fun just to look at them dont make it too serious by haveing lots of rules keep it simple

There was nothing wrong in the administration of the previous shows. The pics  were sent in, all ID removed from them, and the basic pic was given a number and put on a thread created by the webmaster. Members voted by poll by clicking on the number of the bird of their choice. It was the members that chose the winning birds. Can't get fairer than that, and it was cracking good fun with it.

the judges can read the thread aswell and if everyones talking about there birds or someone elses birds then the judges will know who own what  any shows iv been at the judges dont know who owns the birds

My last comment on this lads: just look at all the questions of honesty/trust already, this is one of the reasons admin may decide it,s too much hassle Any way here,s hoping a show takes place, and if so, good luck folks

  why not just do it between the members who want to have shows, pick one member and send them by email your entries and then he/she can post a new topic with all the birds on.......voting is simply done by posts on the site added up when the show finishes.

EXCELLENT IDEA BUT  theres people on here who are moderators etc on other sites
