you would have to give me more information before I can take you seriously. The way you have gone about this looks suspicious  so I doubt that anyone would respond.

Sham really.

I advocted that each club spent a little time every so often to trap and clean up the Feral / Strays from Town centres etc.

Was met with .... Well really with 'Good idea if YOU want to do it' Full stop.

Now with a proper stray catching device etc, out of publics eye, I still believe that it would be a good thing .... Seen a street where  - ok is derelict now - just off town centre where they have literally picked the wall too bits... hardly any lime cememt left etc.... HARDLY A Good thing for the genuine public to see and be conscouis of. Especailly when -ONE DAY we may very well want them to take on board  our phlight regards the BOP etc.

I agree ferals need to be dealt with in all locations as they are what the public see to be our pigeons!

The problem comes when stray cathers try to profit from the fanciers when they find a rung bird or in the case of at least one certain stray catcher in Birmingham where local fanciers take him there strays, probably for reward or to just save them the agro of reporting them.

These are then reported to the RPRA and the stray catcher sends the registered keeper a letter charging them a fee for finding/catching the bird and a daily holding fee until the bird is sent for!

Is the the sort of stray catching that need promoting?

clear to read on there web site:-

We also provide a stray service for Racing Pigeons either by returning or pickup point for lost pigeons.

Got pigeons in the loft we provide a pest removal service. All pest will be re homed back to their original owners and or released away from home.

Yes agree pjc, 100 with you on that. We have exhausted our dislikes several times on that score, and it is of course clothe ears unless it jingles to  the sound of money.... and exploitation I fear.

Mind, clubs should make a stand to clear up the feral!

We are a pet store and sell pet food and well as pigeon and aviary feeds.

we do on occasion sell racing birds with transfer papers to new and older fanciers.

we also provide a stray centre service.

you can get all the recommendations from any of the local clubs.

we have customers looking for fancy breeds of pigeons.

so are seeking your assistance.

Please only reply if you can assist but not assisting required for insults.

Many thanks

well I don't want to offend your sensitivities, because I can see that they are delicate, but surely you should pay for what you pass on to customers. Most businesses I know purchase goods and sell them on at a profit. Those that deal with them know that, and are happy with the arrangement. You seem to be scrounging livestock and selling it on for what must be a profit. I think the phrases, "Long walk and short pier" apply here. I understand that they sell Paxo somewhere near you, you should buy some. Be careful, if you are in a DIY mode you may find that it squeezes between your fingers.

sorry but you do not know me or the business.

it is up to the two parties to negoaite.

we buy quality birds are a reasonable price and resell them at a reasonable price.

etc today young ntu tipplers bought in for £5.00 each and resold at £6.00 each.

it is not always about profit but sometimes keeping customers happy.

We are not on this site to defent our selfs. We are here looking to rehome unwanted, surplus birds. And for your information just today so far we have got more PM with birds that fanciers want to sell.

sorry but why would a business buy for 5 and sell for 6?..a £1 profit?...or is it...time the phonecalls are over how can you be making anything????..so personally cannot believe a business with that attitude towards business.

you either make or you break...over the years ive asked in pet shops how much a bag of corn is...well they say we only make  Â£1 on a bag..(bull)..if a bag costs £12 in the shop the owner of the shop  gets it for around £8 at the most...otherwise why buy for little profit and all that hard work!!!

that's where you are wrong. I have had dealings with you. And I remember well the rudeness of the person who answered the telephone at the Corn Shop. Rudeness that is generally reserved for use by people who hide behind telephone lines stretching over distance so that they can hide from the person on the receiving end.  I imagine someone will help you out with the birds. We had people like that here in South Wales during the Miner's strike. Admittedly, there were not many, and there actions have been well remembered since. Those scabs have paid back heavily, over the years. Maybe someone feels sorry for them but I have seen no evidence of it. Someone must buy from you but it would never be me. And, if I am ever asked, I doubt that I would recommend you either.
