Avian flu

I have just been reading that peregrine falcons are affected by avian flu virus, now there's a thing.

Didnt reduce their numbers much though did it

Depends on what they were eating.  This time of year it will be mostly small birds, seagulls and crows, etc.  Don't think they'll be eating infected birds from the poultry farms.  The wild population may be spreading it, but probably not enough of them have it to affect the peregrines.
