Mike Lycett Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 Ben.. Forgive me for playing devils advocate here, but where does he acknowledge having learnt a hard lesson? A few times now I wouldn't say he's lied to me, but he certainly has'nt made me aware of all the full facts when asking my advice. To me, that's being a little.............. you know...
swilcox Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 Are you sure he is only 17? Anyway you never to young to respect people!!

Guest CS Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 Matty, have a look; http://www.pigeonbasics.com/forum/blah/m-1159741263/s-0/
john robo Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 not quite sure whats going on here, but if hes bought a bird for £90 and selling it on for £200. is £200 his final price or is he willing to barter he might have a lower figure in mind knock him down to £150 then you got it £50 cheaper, your happy hes happy. if i buy a car in the auctions for say £500 and sell it on a week later for a £1000 ive made a nice profit, is that what this is all about. sorry if ive got it wrong just confussed. what is the bird in question worth £££ ?
Beanz Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 may not be illegal but it is very dodgy and underhand, he will come around where have I heard that before, thats why society is like it is now because people keep saying give them a chance, sort them out early and they may become genuine folk leave them and they end up in prison but not before they have done some serious damage to someone or something.
swilcox Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 I myself add 20% and i leave it at that!!! To me 20% is fair
the detective Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 ive been watching this thread with intrest and i think andrew may learn from this experience maybe it should be dropped now anyway, also does andrew or anyone who advertises alot on here give a donation to pigeonbasics id like to here the ones who do the selling and shouting now
johnny11 Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 A pigeon is only worth what someone is willling to pay, if you are not happy with the price dont buy it. To some Andrew maybe inflating his prices but surely right or wrong that is up to him. He may well be learning the selling game and no doubt will make many mistakes. He does not seem to have agood name here but all these posts are here to be read so let the buying public decide. There are good and bad sellers all over and Stuart has been good enough to state how much he makes on a pigeon fair play, but if Andrew has a bird for sale it is up to him to put a price on it. Im no way defending his actions but everyone has a right to say deal or no deal.
Guest ben Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 Boys,This is getting way,way out of hand, from what i just heard someone`s really pissed off and perhaps he has a reason to,but that kid`s going to get crucified...and that just ain`t right,no matter what was said. For christ`s sake let it go now.
swilcox Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 Hello Detective No not yet and to be honest its well overdue but in the next week or two we will be auctioning a quality pigeon with 100% going to the site!!! I have also offered our stand at Blackpool and a £100 voucher for tho online shown plus advertising (which may have run out????) so i will be trying to do my bit as i really enjoy using pigeonbasics!!! To add i'd like to think ive done a bit of good for few members too!!! Regards Stuart
gangster Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 HI EVERYONE I ALSO HAVE BEEN WATCHING THIS THREAD AND HAVE RECENTLY DEALT WITH ANDREW ,THERE WAS A BIT OF ARSING ABOUT BUT I ENDED UP WITH 3BIRDS FOR THE PRICE I WAS WILLING TO PAY FOR THE 2 I WANTED, IT WAS A SILLY MOVE TO BUY A BIRD OUT OF THE BOOK THEN PHONE MIKE FOR A VALUATION AND THEN ADVERTISE IT ON HERE FOR £200. I MUST AD THE 3 BIRDS ARE OUTSTANDING A CREDIT TO HIM..... ID LIKE TO THINK WE ARE ALL MEN ENOUGH TO LET IT GO NOW LIFE REALLY IS TOO SHORT....MICK... I IS DA GANGSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the detective Posted October 5, 2006 Report Posted October 5, 2006 i agree with you gangster and maybe andrew may be a bit more care next time and remember this incident next time he thinks about pulling a stunt like this, theres worse goin on in the world at the moment without everyone falling out and the next thing people will stop coming onto the site and then everyone will complain,i just think big advertisers should be charged a small fee to advertise birds as if they did it in the bhw it would cost £15 for a small advert so you advertiser s and you know who you are get i think you should be getting your handy pandies into you dep pockets and help to get some funding for this good site
