tillo Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 i think harky charity begins at home, you dont get anything for nothing in this world anyway would you give a pigeon away which is worth £500 ??
swilcox Posted August 10, 2007 Author Report Posted August 10, 2007 The pigeon is being offered for sale because i move house in Febuary of this year and at this time have spent over £10,000+ starting up again, i have also had to work on the house. To finish off my set-up i still need one more loft which must be funded (so the wife tells me) by the birds. I started with 26 pairs of stock to get me going but next year i only have room for 16. Harky, I have donated more pigeons to charity and helped more people than you probaly realise!!!! But i can see recently that some people are taking offence from me selling pigeons on Pigeon Basics so maybe its time i stop!!!! Stuart
kseire Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 Why do people insist on hijacking sale threads all the time? There are plenty of sections on this brilliant website which allow people to voice their opinions and recommendations, but every time I read a sales thread we are subject to : 1. People not reading the full sales advertisement and then asking silly questons! What has he bred? Why are you selling? When it quite clearly states the reasons already! 2. People mocking the owner for selling birds! If you dont want to buy the pigeon for various reasons e.g. too pricey or you dont think its good value, then fair enough! thats your opinion! your entitled to it! I think the best way of giving your opinion on the sale of a bird is in the bidding! If You dont want to bid, then dont! but leave the rest of us to make our own decisions, and dont discredit the seller! Quite clearly this pigeon is of class breeding and has a proven record! How much would a pigeon with this CV cost if you purchased it direct??? A hell of a lot more than 500 I can tell yea (because I have done it)... Maybe pigeonbasics should consider installing a bidding section on the website, and remove the ability for users to attack sellers! Food for thought! KS
Guest bristolkev Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 no don`t stop selling stu!.......most people on here know the quality of your birds,if i had the money i would snap your hand off.

KS You seem to know a lot about how the site works for a newbe. Have you been on the site before under a different name?
kseire Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 Im not a newbie. Ive used the site for almost a year now... But it wouldnt take any new member long to notice a pattern in the way the sales posts go.

KS well said, there seems to be alot of 'open mouth and let belly rumble' on this site! maybe a new section should be created for such twats!!! if stuart had a pigeon i fancied i wouldnt hesitate in buying, met the lad at blackpool and a nicer/genuine lad you couldnt meet, the pigeons on display were first class... so enough said no more hijacking and let stuart get on with selling his birds, if your not interested go and pester somebody else!!!
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 lovely pigeons but if there that good why you selling them .noticed that every time you come on its to sell pigeons why not give them to a new start or some one thats needs are better than yours well the 3 you gave me off your one loft winners are first class Harky and are doing great , thanks a lot mate
harky Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 what ever happened to freedom of speech just voicing my opinion .imagine a new start say a young lad harping on about gettin pigeons to his parents, eventually giving in and saying ok we will look at pb for some pigeons they see swilcoxs bird for sale ,thats that then they say to their lad there will be no pigeons kept here with prices like that we simply cant afford it .the result being one broken hearted young lad .maybe never happen but it could anyway best of luck on sellin your pigeon for me thats the end off it cheers
WulDon Posted August 10, 2007 Report Posted August 10, 2007 SOME OPINIONS ARE BEST KEPT TO ONE SELF!... THE END.
