I don't know about catching it, but it can be transmitted via their hair. Don't let anyone pet your pets. When exercising, keep them on the lead. Cats should be kept in the house because if they are allowed out, you have no idea where they are going and who may touch them. They could then bring the virus into your home via their hair. True for all animals, horses, etc. :)

Cats are known to travel 20 mile from home and might have as many as 3 homes it gets fed at
