REDCHEQHEN Posted January 5, 2020 Report Posted January 5, 2020 I once got a highly commended at the NEHU show over 10 years ago, which was more luck than management, a young bird that hadn't fully moulted - and once had a win at a local show, but otherwise - not had much luck. Whether racing or showing, what causes fret marks on the flights? Can't think of anything the birds have missed out on or suffered from, yet a few have fret marks - why?

REDCHEQHEN Posted January 5, 2020 Author Report Posted January 5, 2020 These have moulted after the race season has finished, it's the last 3-5 flights, old birds
Wiley Posted January 5, 2020 Report Posted January 5, 2020 Yes a fret can happen due to a hard race during the season, they used to be a prized possession of distance men. Tips for showing bring the bird in the house for over 24 hours with the heating on
