RoryTheRed Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 Good on you for the charity bird - IMHO £40 starting price on a g-grandchild/gg-grandchild of the imortal Benjamin last son of the GoldenPair is alot to ask, too far removed from the winning lines for my pocket.
andrew Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 Thats a very good price if you were to goanwhere else if you can find somewhere else you would pay a lot more, i currently have a G.Son from benjmin and he is a very rare cock not many about now. Excellent Quality birds Spencer
Webmaster Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 The details are there. If you wish to bid, please post; if not, dont

Excellent Quality birds Spencer Andrew, please do not spam me again with your front page of your website via email; i don't deal with pigeon dealers, not interested in untested stock. Thanks for your view on what is/n't a good price for this WONDER strain.
Roland Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 Golly, all one has done has offered a pigeon.blood and feathers like all, for a good cause. Bever mind what one views in regards pedigree, 90% are crap, and after all said and done a flipping pigeon. Good on you Spence, wish there were a few more offers like it - I know some have, but for thoses that haven't / couldn't didn't or won't....
schouwman71 Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 if you look at all pigeon strain, all the new ones like lindalauf etc etc go back to the janssens but if one was to auction one off those they would snap it up,and be real how on earth can spencer put any closer to benjamin in unless he bred it years ago and froze it. LES
Mixxy Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Timbarra, very nice yb. can i ask a couple of questions without starting a row. is there any chocolate blood in him (likely to breed chocolates) and have his parents bred anything to do well racing or breeding?

In answer to above members on here have been donating of their best on a somewhat regular basis, look at last Pigeon Basics Auction, again to worthy causes,at Webmasters discretion,no fanfare,no publicity,no claims,I will if possibile help others whenever I can,as many others on here do,but will do so without fanfare, trumpet blowing, publicising, these are not needed or wanted by myself, different strokes for different folks I expect, lest you might think, sour grapes,no I wish seller/buyer good luck with Auction and youngster,a theread running here has a fancier just 12mts back in pigeons breeding 20 youngsters for newbies, such a gesture has earned my admiration and respect

timbarra Posted April 29, 2008 Author Report Posted April 29, 2008 mixxy pm you to explain the hereditary factors involved in the inheritance of the recessive red gene (chocolate) and given you my number for further help. sorry i didnt get back sooner as i look after my young son. for anyone like pjc who has nothing better to do than digress the topic and thread.

pjc Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 If a member ask's a sensible question the vendor should be prepared to answer it! The answer may be information that would encourage others to bid! Mixxy asked a reasonable question that is still awaiting an answer!

The answer may be information that would encourage others to bid! Mixxy asked a reasonable question that is still awaiting an answer! as i stated 3 posts before this i PM Mixxy. which has nothing to do with you, if this continues the youngster will be with drawn and sold to the highest bidder at the time and another will be offered on pigeon chat. PJC please keep your jealous comments to yourself. do not ruin it for others .
Merlin Posted April 29, 2008 Report Posted April 29, 2008 Timbarra Please climb down of this horse of total indignition, and stop isueing ultimatiums, you offered the bird for Auction for Charity, now to get stroppy because someone asks a question, this is sheer hypocricsyl, especially by yourself, who is so fond of asking questions, and advocates same to the point of almost badgering, its a decent gesture by yourself, dont sully it by childish behaviour, carry on and get best money you can its for charity. SORRY I know this is not relevent to thread,in the interest of cause it needs to be said
