Possibly an opal grizzle opal can be recessive so it can be bred from birds that don,t show it . Two years ago I bred one, a blue ground opal from a pair of blue chequers . It is an attractive mutation .

have any of your family thrown any others like this Bill ?

Sometimes have white grizzles that have come down from the Kirkpatricks. Got down to ten birds earlier this year, five blue grizzles and five blues, then they have produced the bird in pic. Plus two white grizzles so they keep coming back.emoticon-0136-giggle.gif
