  8. never said i wasnt happy with the way things were run just after the matter was raised i thought i would throw a few ideas into the hat for discussion i see your upset at the thought of discussing it by your replys but cannot honestly see why as ive not critisised anyone on the running of charity auctions even saying a thought they were doing a good job
  9. no authority to do so paul and ians doing fine site rules state that any charity auction have to be run by ian/admin/mods ive not critisised anyone or any need for any auctions paul just having a discussion as to how and if any improvements can or should be made is that not what the threads about ???/
  10. just trying to be constructive here jam there will always be sales/auctions for good causes just saying that would it not be an idea to have a couple of large fundraisers at the start of the year so that some of these great causes can be helped from out of there look at the h4h auctions as ian says they raised thousands if they were done yearly you would have a large pot to divide out during the year this is the time to discuss these type of thing so if any changes are to be made them you have the whole year to impliment them if required
  11. i agree with you brian just saying it would be easier if a fund was built up and donations made from it that way you would not need to limit the amount of donations given out when the fund dropped below a certain point then another auction would be arranged
  12. youve just made my point ian if there was a few large auctions to build up the charity fund then there would be no need for all these auctions they would just apply to the site fund for a donation to said charity
  13. this has been brought up by a few members in pms the main question ive been asked is why the charity fund is not run like it used to be where there was a couple of auctions during the year to raise funds then when a request for a donation is made to the site it was looked at and any donation given was decided on by a team/comittee which in my opinion should consist of 3 to 5 ordinary members no mods or admin on team there would still be auctions for good causes but this would reduce the ongoing ones at this moment in time there are 2 asking for donations and one 1 running ive donated to charity auction and purchased on them so i am not against them, anything but just trying to see if they can be run better this is not a dig at ian who does a good job aranging these auctions jmo dave
  14. just watched it no bops involved just that the birds wouldnt clear
  15. it may work better for costs if you allow members to send say 6 birds for open prizes but nominate 2 counting towards the 2 bird club gives a bit more interest and a bigger birdage to help cover costs jmo dave
  16. no 26 plus the 27 from lastweek and still group 3 to go which is around 450 if my maths is correct 323 team 1 233 team 2 as there were 1024 left after the sea trainer im sure willie will correct me coz im prob wrong

  22. not surprising really when ive trained old hens with the y/bs years ago the old hens left the youngsters and were home long before them this was in the early trainers after they got a bit more training under their belts the y/bs headed straight home aswell
  23. it was on the chat board wullie next to the livestream
  24. 19 back plus 1 lost previously the strange thing is they were libbed with oldbirds from fanciers located around the loft and they are sitting with 90% of the old birds home fingers crossed lads
  25. you will be stopping y/b racing in the uk then as its not much better just look at fed returns for the last few years and you will see races that have terrible returns
